Possums, cockatoos & quendas

It’s spring, so time to check in on our local critters. If you’re interested in being part of projects for our Western ringtail possums, Black Cockatoos or Quendas come along to the information evening at the Augusta Margaret River Council Chambers, on Thursday 8th October from 5.30 till 6.30pm.

Register through Nature Conservation Margaret River – look for “Citizen Science in the Margaret River Region”.

Lions Garage Sale

The next Margaret River Lions mega garage sale is Saturday October 10th. Gates open at 7.30am if you’re keen to snap up the bargains outside the shed, and the roller doors go up at 8.30am. Credit card facilities are now available.

Preserve Gnarabup Paddle

Preserve Gnarabup is hosting a paddle out at 10am on Saturday 10th October from the corner of Gnarabup beach. The paddle is to raise awareness of the development slated for the headland. Bring a surfboard, body board, fins, kayak, SUP board – anything that floats and head into the surf to take part.

The group is also running a raffle with some great prizes – tickets are available on the Preserve Gnarabup website.
