River Angels
River Angels have started helping a fragile lady who has just had surgery. If you can help with her cleaning for a spare hour or two by taking a shift, you will be joining a very caring support team, which will be much appreciated.

MR Community Centre
On the 22nd September, the Margaret River Community Centre will be having Erin Statz as a guest speaker for their AGM.
Positive Mental Health and Stronger Communities is the subject from Erin, who is the coordinator of Mindful Margaret River. With a 5:30 start, you have time for a meal at the Soupie, 5pm for $5.

Cape to Cape Group
If you are a bird watcher, there are several opportunities in October and November to volunteer your help, from listening for bitterns, monitoring beach nesting, to bird identification at Ellensbrook Homestead or Boranup Forest. Choose your date from the Cape to Cape bird group website.

Strings Attached Festival
There are ‘youth only’ events, as well as ‘all ages’ welcome, at the Strings Attached Festival 8th-10th October, with under 25’s going free. Some events are free to all.
The workshops are fascinating: songwriting with Eskimo Joe’s Kay Temperley, also Anu Grace, guitar content creation and jamming on all levels.

Applications are now open for grant funding from the local Shire for events and initiatives in 2021-22. Grant information sessions will be held on Thursday 23 September 10-11.30am at Augusta Council Chambers, and 2-3.30pm at Margaret River Shire Offices.
